a cover letter for a job i really want

What I wish I could say:

I may not know everything I need to know about these paintings yet, but I will because I need to, not because I have to or want to, but I need to because they are my passion. I ache when I look at them, I want to be around them for as long as I possibly can. Anyone with the gift of sight deserves to see these works because they change you. They transport you. They awaken a certain spirit inside of you, a softer, romantic, lustrous spirit, no matter how many times you’ve seen them, every time is different. Their beauty is breathtaking and the very thought of being able to work along side them and experience what the great artists of the past have created fills my heart with a kind of satisfaction that I don’t think I will ever be able to obtain otherwise.

What I will probably say:

I’m a people person, I’m organized, and I like art history a lot.

There needs to be a “Bat Signal” of sorts for people with chronic depression so you can just punch a button, or whatever, and whoever’s available will come to your aid. This way, you won’t risk asking for help from someone and put them on the spot (a problem I have too often), and even a complete stranger could help… Actually an app for this would work.
